1. Portfolio Standouts (Relative Performance)
The Portfolio Standouts chart shows how far each expression's community rating sits above or below the brand average. Bars to the right (blue) beat the brand's own average, bars to the left (orange) fall below it. Hover a bar for the rating and review count; the chart only appears when at least two expressions have reviews.
Positive Deviation
The brand's best-rated expressions. A good place to start if you are new to the brand.
Negative Deviation
Rated below the brand's own average. Often entry-level bottles or experimental releases. Low is relative to the brand, not necessarily poor. Check the review count before drawing conclusions.
2. Linked AI Insights & Market Tier
Beyond individual bottles, the brand page shows where the brand fits in our analysis:
Linked AI Insights
Brand pageLists the AI Insights that contain bottles of this brand. Open one to see which flavor styles the brand takes part in. The percentage on each card is the share of the brand's bottles that belong to that insight, not a taste score.
A high percentage means most of the brand's portfolio fits this insight. The fraction shows the bottle counts behind it; with only one or two bottles in our database it says little.
Market Tier (Positioning)
The badge is based on the average community rating of the brand's bottles. It shows how well the brand is rated, not what it costs.
| Prestige | Average rating 8.5 or higher. |
| Premium | Premium Market Leader: average rating 7.8 or higher. |
| Standard | Reliable Standard: average rating 7.0 or higher. |
| Value | Value Proposition: average rating below 7.0. |
Cask Strategy & Identity
The Maturation Strategy card shows the five most used casks across the brand's portfolio (maturation and finishes combined). A bourbon-heavy brand points to vanilla and toasted oak; a sherry-heavy brand to dried fruit and spice. Compare it with the standouts: if the best-rated bottles share a cask, that cask is probably the brand's strength.
